The agreement strengthens opportunities for Cree businesses by ensuring they receive priority consideration in procurement and contracting processes. This approach helps keep economic benefits within the community and supports long‑term local business development.
With this adoption, Whapmagoostui joins Mistissini, Waswanipi, Wemindji, and Oujé‑Bougoumou as Cree communities that have formally adopted the Prioritization Agreement.
