Waswanipi Adopts the Cree Nation Economic Prioritization Agreement

The Cree Nation of Waswanipi adopted the Cree Nation Economic Prioritization Agreement on December 18, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Cree-owned and local businesses.

The agreement prioritizes Cree businesses in procurement and contracting opportunities, helping ensure that economic benefits remain within the community.

With this adoption, Waswanipi joins Wemindji and Oujé-Bougoumou as Cree communities that have formally adopted the Prioritization Agreement.
